Summary: Hawker Sea Fury aircraft Airplane blueprint for the Hawker, Sea, Fury ... Aviation history and aircraft blueprints/plans. The Hawker Sea-Fury was the last piston-engine fighter in active duty service with the Royal Navy. Sea Furies flew many ground attack sorties in the Korean War, and on August 9, 1952, Lt. Peter Charmichael, flying a Sea Fury, shot down a MiG-15. This was the first aerial victory over a MiG-15 in that war.
On 23 June, 1942, Luftwaffe Pilot Oberleutnant Arnim Faber erroneously landed his Focke Wulf Fw-190 fighter at RAF Pembrey, apparently having mistaken this airfield for a Luftwaffe channel coast airfield. The British were thereby presented with a working example of the Fw 190 fighter, which had been giving the RAF an extremely difficult time. The Hawker Fury design was a direct result of the examination of Faber's Fw-190. Examination of Faber's aircraft was largely responsible for the preparation of Specification F.6/42, which called for a new, high-performance fighter.
Power Plant: Bristol Centaurus, 2,480 hp, two-row 18 cylinder radial engine. Note: We many times have the Bristol Centaurus aircraft engine in stock also. If it shows under "aircraft engines" we then have it available.
